The GMDSS Simulator provides an environment in terms of physical, graphical and sound interfaces to realistically simulate and reproduce operations related to the operational use of GMDSS equipment used on board merchant vessels under all conditions.
The main goal of the ECDIS simulator is the training and certification of officers and officer cadets in the operation of on-board systems for the planning and execution of the ship’s voyages. In order to achieve this goal, trainees must be trained to perform all the tasks related to electronic nautical charts (ENCs) generally performed by officers in charge of the bridge watch (preparation of voyage charts, updates…).
ISEM’s Full Mission Navigation and Maneuvering simulator is used for both initial training of students, continuing education of officers and managers in the maritime and port sector for training in the navigation and maneuvering of ships of all types, including high-speed craft and dynamic positioning craft, as well as for training in maritime communications and maritime traffic control.
FULL MISSION ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR
The engine simulator available to ISEM is an advanced version ERS 5000 TechSim that provides an accurate and detailed copy of the ship’s systems and simulates the engine and engine room compartments. The ERS 5000 TechSim version provides hands-on experience in watchkeeping, troubleshooting and the engine room resource management.
LIQUID CARGO SIMULATOR
The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator provides an accurate and detailed copy of the ship/terminal systems and its compartments. The simulator also allows for on-board training and demonstration of skills. The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator replicates a cargo control room, which allows a complete study of the tanker and terminal layout, including its machinery and systems, in accordance with international standards.
