Khalid EL HAD is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Director of Studies and Research at the Higher Institute for Maritime Studies (ISEM – Casablanca).
Prior to this appointment, Khalid served as an Inspector of the Merchant Navy (1994-2010), and Assistant professor (2000-2010) at the same Institute, from which he graduated with the degree of Chief Engineer and Officer first class in the year 2000.
Mr. El-had earned his PhD in 2016, in Mechanical Engineering from the National Higher School of Electricity and Mechanics (ENSEM- Casablanca). His doctoral thesis was entitled “Mechanical and vibratory behaviour of single row ball bearings. Analytical, experimental and numerical modelling study: Application to preventive maintenance”.
His research interests focus on “Predictive maintenance by vibratory methods, Numerical and experimental study of pressure equipment, Characterization of thermoplastic membranes in large deformations by a neuronal model, modelling of bearings, and lifting and electric cables”.
Professor EL HAD has supervised 5 Doctoral students, 12 Master’s students and more than 50 undergraduate students, and he has published over 16 peer reviewed journal articles, 2 Books, 3 Book chapters and over 20 conference papers.
